The Emitech Group has an Engineering Department (Emitech, based at Montigny near Paris) and an Innovation & Applications Department (based at Environne'Tech) dedicated to developing testing tools for the group's internal use and on behalf of clients who are keen to equip themselves with technology that integrates the experience and expertise of a respected test centre. This expertise is focused primarily on mechanical environments and climatic conditions.

Designing testing tools

Testing tools are the all-important interface between your measuring equipment and the specimen being tested. Our testing tools are designed and produced by our teams of specialists. They need to be capable of adapting the test subject to the testing equipment, without interfering with the integrity of the test and the constraints which need to be applied.

Testing tools therefore need to be neutral, impervious to thermal and mechanical constraints

The Emitech Group guarantees that all products sent to our test centres will be analysed using the highest quality testing tools. We can also supply cutting-edge tools for your own labs.

We use digital simulation technology to optimise the design of our testing tools, tailoring them to your requirements in terms of frequency, on-board mass, dimensions etc. Our labs are equipped with an array of materials (steel, aluminium, magnesium) and thermal processing equipment.

We also produce standardised tools such as expanders, test cubes and thermal barriers in aluminium or magnesium.

High stakes

Designing specialised tools is crucial on two levels: 

• technically: abiding by all applicable testing standards
• financially: poor-quality tools can compromise the outcomes of your tests (resulting in inadequate solutions)

Our approach

Our design offices can take charge of the whole development process or just a few key stages:

• Designing tools
• Calculations to validate final design (with potential iteration/optimisation stages)
• Producing a guidance strategy
• Manufacturing the tools

We work with the SolifWorks 2015 and ANSYS Mechanical V16.0 software suites, on design stations with a capacity of 7 Tflops.
