Our recognition as National Certification Body within the framework of the CB scheme is made possible by the fact that Emitech is a certification body as attested by our accréditation Cofrac n° 5-0549 ( scope available on www.cofrac.fr ) accordin to EN ISO/CEI17065 

In the context of export markets, the use of the CB scheme allows the recognition of its test results in more than 50 countries around the world. In this procedure, the laboratories (CBTL) must be approved by the Certification Body to which they belong: Emitech Certification is the NCB of the Emitech laboratories that have been audited and validated by it. 

These are the laboratories at the Angers, Lyon, Montigny and Vendargues centres for the following categories of equipment: 

• Information processing equipment (Category OFF)
• Audio-Video devices (Category TRON)
• Control, measuring and laboratory apparatus (Category MEAS)
• Electromagnetic compatibility (Category EMC)
• Information technology apparatus Audio Video (Category ITAV)

The CB scheme is a powerful tool available for manufacturers to launch their approval process where it is applicable. The independence between the laboratories requested by the manufacturer and the body, that at the end certifies the conformity of the product to the standards and deviations applicable for each country targeted by the procedure, is a third party guarantee for the manufacturer in his procedures.

The taking into account of your files within the framework of the CB scheme is done in five steps whatever the country adhering to this method:

• Stage 1 – Application
  • Your request for a CB Test Certificate can be sent directly to us as an accredited CB for the standard in question.
  • Emitech Certification identifies the IEC standard and any national deviations required for the country to which your are exported. Emitech Certification relays your request to one of our CBTL.
• Stage 2 – Testing and report
  • Unless agreed in advance by the applicant and the CB,the test must be caaried out by a CBTL that has been approved by the CB, to which the test report must subsequently be submitted for approval.
• Stage 3 – CB test certification
  • If the CB judges the test result to be favourable, it issues a CB Test Certificateto the applicant to accompany the test report.
• Stagee 4 – Registration of the CB Test Certificate
  • As soon as the NCB issues the CB certificate to the applicant, a copy will also be sent to the IECEE for registration.
• Stage 5 – Use of the CB certificate / test report by the applicant.

A conformity assessment body is a third part body independent of the testing laboratory. This body is COFRAC accredited according to ISO 17065 standard: « Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services »

This organization works free from any pressure or inducement that can influence its judgement. It regularly justifies to its Impartiality Preservation Device its independence and the lack of conflict of interest for the cases its investigates.

The notified body examines the technicall design of the equipment with the risk analysis carried out by the manufacturer. After examining the proof of conformity submitted to it, it certifies that they meet the essential requirements of the directive.

• The manufacturer thus benefit from a validated placing on the market of his equipment or product range.
• The manufacturer is guaranteed of a regulatory follow-up of its product by the notified body throughout the validity of its certificate.
• The manufacturer opens up some markets thanks to the recognition of this certificate for export.
