The Emitech Group is equipped with 8 salt spray chambers from 0.5 to 13 m3
The salt spray test is standardised and is used to assess the corrosion resistance of equipment or material samples, coated or uncoated, to corrosion. It highlights possible surface deteriorations such as: paint blistering, damage to surface treatments, direct or indirect corrosion of metal parts, electrical risk due to the deposit of salts.
Testing times on the parts to be tested can vary from a few hours to several months depending on their level of exposure in actual use.
The main parameters are temperature (+35°C), sodium chloride concentration (5% NaCl by mass), pH (between 6.5 and 7.2).
Severe treatments can be applied alternately: exposure to salt spray, temperature and humidity, and drying phase.
Depending on demand, it is possible to supply the products, to put them into operation: cycling, continuous operation..., and to monitor the output data: current, voltage, pressure...
In addition to neutral salt spray tests, this family of tests also includes acetic salt spray, copper-acetic salt spray,...
